As an employee who has worked at Purplex for the last year, I can honestly say I've never felt so looked after. Leaving has been the hardest decision of my life - for reasons you're about to find out!

If you're looking at a job with Purplex, this review is for you. Hopefully you'll find it helpful. I've split the review up into 3 sections, the work, the benefits & the team.

The Work

There aren't any shortcuts at Purplex; working hard is essential. Not because you have a manager breathing down your neck, but because you'll feel out of place if you don't.

Due to being a full-service marketing agency, the company is very proactive, fast-paced & client-focused. Typically, the entirety of a clients marketing strategy is ran by Purplex. This means there's no problem-blaming, only problem-solving. Social Media & SEO strategy unaligned? Go and fix it. Google ads not converting due to a broken website? Go and fix it. This 'can do' attitude is my guess as to how Purplex has achieved exponential growth for so many years. It's also ideal for professional development.

The Benefits

Apart from the fantastic team, which I'll get to later, there are many benefits to working at Purplex. The best one? The new office that's been completely renovated at 200 Park Way.

Throughout the office you'll see various quirks, including a variety of plants and cool 'stuff' (you'll see what I mean if you visit). I've recently made friends with a life-size model of Big Daddy (borderlands video game). On the ground floor you can find a cool eating/socialising space akin to an american coffee-shop/bar equipped with an arcade machine. There's also a gym & showers that are being built for those that have the motivation for an after-work workout! Upstairs there's a few meeting rooms & a large open-plan office space where most Purplexers work.

Depending on your role there's different opportunities to go to work events/trips. I'm lucky enough to have been put up in a 16-man airbnb and sent to Brighton to learn at BrightonSEO, one of Europe's leading marketing events - definitely a highlight for me!

Alongside this you can expect all of the regular perks: pension, on-site parking, discounts at stores (perksatwork.com), free tea & coffee etc.

The Team

Starting in the middle of a pandemic, I expected it to be difficult to integrate into a team that have clearly worked together for years. Thankfully, I didn't have such trouble! As soon as restrictions were lifted I was immediately thrown in to their roster of regular social events, where I got stuck in and developed some amazing friendships.

From my experience, the Purplex team fully embody the phrase 'Work Hard, Play Hard'. I'm still astounded by the effort some team members put in. When the work week is over and it's time for a couple of friday beers, it's easy to 'turn off' from working and more importantly, feel like you've earned it.

To conclude, if you're looking for a great place to work, you have my approval! With the new office, you couldn't join at a better time. I certainly enjoyed my time at Purplex, and I hope you do too.
