We had an old website which cost a small fortune to maintain so it was getting out of date and we were worried because it incorporated our tailor-made booking system. Thomas at Bordeal put our minds at rest and project managed a move to a free website platform which we can update ourselves at will. He incorporated an off the shelf booking system widely used in the UK as well as introducing a Customer Feedback system and an email newsletter system which has raised our profile. He set up links to social media (Twitter, Facebook etc.) and ensured that we were also set up correctly in online directories like Google Maps so that we could be found in local searches even if our website did not come up. He also ensured that if people found us using a tablet or smartphone they would quickly get the information they needed like our phone number and driving directions. A nice touch was some YouTube videos to promote our business which we have been able to use on our website and on social media. All this was done at very short notice before our summer season and we have definitely benefited from these changes in terms of the volume of customers and the number of on-line searches.

MyLocal, one of Locafy's UK resellers, recommended Proximity Booster to us 9 months ago and we agreed to try it at one of our hotels. At the time we were spending quite heavily on Google Adverts and we were interested to see if we could get better results at less cost. We have now rolled out Locafy's Proximity Booster to our other hotel and increased the number of keywords targeted. Locafy has proven itself to do exactly what was promised, to generate more local enquiries for our hotels at less cost than Pay per Click advertising.

We hadn't appreciated the difference between local search and organic search and we were spending all our resources on SEO and wondering why we were not appearing in local search results. Thomas was able to explain why some local businesses can rank well in local search results without even having a website. He was then able to help us sort out our local listing information so that we too were able to rank well in local searches. So obvious in retrospect!

As a local tradesman I didn't think I needed to be online as I didn't want the hassle of a website. Thomas explained to me that if people are looking for a plumber online they would be able to find me even if I didn't have a website - I had no idea!
