Trying to return a doctor's missed call is impossible 4 trying to call one call answered,3 hours spend altogether holding. Told I need a telephone appointment to return his call, none available, told to ring with t.he masses at 0830. Finally sent doctor an email. Response was don't book appointment by email!! I don't want an appointment,I only want the medication a clinic recommended. Finally told he would call me this morning. If course he didn't. It absolutely beggars belief

I'm surprised to read all the bad reviews here. I've been with this practice for 19 years now and really like it.
It's spacious, bright and clean.
The E-consult form now makes it really easy to get advice/help for your condition or repeat prescriptions. No more having to call, waiting in a phone queue, having to physically come in (unless necessary such as for blood tests). I always felt it was such a waste of my time (and that of doctors/nurses) to have to come to the practice in person for a repeat prescription or referral. Happy the practice has finally moved into the 21st century.
The NHS overall is of course underfunded and will do the bare minimum (or nothing) for you unless you are literally in danger of dying, but I don't feel that this is something the practice has control over; it's a larger problem. Meanwhile, I think staff at the practice will do everything they can within the constraints they are given.

I have to report this incident because its to upsetting for words. Today Thursday 24th Nov. my sister was given a 2.30pm appointment by a junior doctor because she was unwell. We arrived at 2.14 and were not seen until 3.10 after complaint several times to what was the hold up. He appeared at 3.10 and pointed out that the monitors were not working. We were ushered into room one which appeared to be a store room with fridges for vaccine and half a couch. No desk no chair and certainly no computer. I had the stand for over 20 minutes while he examined my sister. This was surely unprofessional conduct to say the least as my sister and I are in our seventies. This was the absolute lowest this practice could stoop. The practice a state of the art clinic with numerous rooms I find hard to belive that there wasn't a consultation room available. An absolute shocking and worrying experience. We would appreciate an energetic response to this calamity which is nothing short of minty python

Unfortunately, this practice has been my long term GP and if I have to be brutally honest, it's just going down the drain.
The system to get an appointment is pathetic and you would have to be literally dying or on the verge to be seen by a doctor or even speak to one.
The staff don't know what they're doing and lack the basic mannerisms in dealing or speaking to people. They don't listen to or follow simple requests which I'm sure is in their job description as a receptionist/administrator. Therefore, you're calling in a few times and being held in a queue for up to an hour for something that should have been done the first time.
And, what's more infuriating is when you finally speak to a GP, you get them ones who ask you "what will you like us to do?" And that's after you have literally explained your symptoms. I mean aren't they the ones who went to medical school with a PHD? So it becomes very questionable whether they even know what they're doing when they are treating you.

Interesting how all the reviews for this terrible doctors surgery has been taken down! This used to be a great surgery, it has obviously had new management because it’s gone downwards quickly. Can never get through on the phone with less than 20 people ahead of me, once you finally get through you either have to wait two weeks to see a doctor or wait for a phone call that actions nothing! This whole e consult thing is DANGEROUS and does nothing to help the vulnerable communities within Camden. Most who have limited access to the internet. Waiting three weeks for a doctors note or three weeks for results, (my husband has now waited five weeks for a scan). What has happened to this surgery? The management should be ashamed. You are risking people’s lives and using COVID as an excuse for your lack of management!

Such a shame that this surgery has changed so much in the past few years.
I have been a patient here for 67 years, since Dr Wigg himself was gp here.
When you ring now you are placed in a call back queue...... your unable to just make an appointment and have to wait for a call back, then to be told there are no appointments available...try again next day at 8.30.
The surgery has some wonderful doctors and it's such a shame that it seem impossible to actually get to see them...... moan now over

Visited on 26/02/21 around 11:45 or 12 in the afternoon.
Reception is disgustingly rude and appear to have no training in the fact that patients have invisible disabilities that affect communication skills.
I was unable to get past the receptionist to get any kind of care despite explaining I have been trying to get help for specific condition since December 2019.
Ended up calling 111 and having them make an appointment after the receptionist told me and I quote:
“I am not going to let you talk to anyone today”

Ive been with james wiggs as a kid when it opened. Im now a mum of two kids and still with jame wiggs practice. I love the practice for the large space and that it looks clean, but thats it. If you would like to make an appointment call waiting times are anywhere from half an hour to an hour. If you want an appointment that day your going to have to be basically dead if not you will get a call from the doctor (which is not the same as seeing a doctor and feeling like your being cared for). If you can wait for an appointment to see a doctor it will be 4 to 6 weeks after youve called. Being at jame wiggs for so long I really feel I can say as years have go on the practice has fallen and i would not recommend. Im currently looking for a new practice.
