A lovely house with a delightful walk around the lake and wonderful kitchen gardens. We enjoyed the dressing up rooms and knowledgeable volunteers. The amazing Berrington dress was so interesting to see. We also had fun watching the house martins zooming in & out of their nests. We gad a great day out!

We visited at the end of April and the gardens were absolutely beautiful and the highlight of the day. The house is also fascinating and there's lots of information about the rooms and objects within. We were also lucky enough to go on a guided tour 'downstairs' into the servants quarters which was fascinating and a definite recommendation if they are running when you visit!

This 600 year old Manor House is an unspoilt authentic masterpiece. Each room is laid out to tell a different part of its long history. The best interpretation I have seen at a National Trust property, matching the love and care that has gone into its preservation over the centuries. The grounds are equally authentic with varied and extensive walks through orchards, fields and woods. Magical. Well done to the friendly staff and volunteers.

My wife and I second visit here on a Saturday after some 12 years+, this time we bought our grown up children & partners and also our granddaughter. We’d forgot just how wonderful this place is. The grounds are majestic, you have to do the red route taking you around the pool, takes about an hour. There are so many rooms to see & today that didn’t include the lower kitchen, laundry, servants quarters which we were told are open only every Monday owing to volunteer staff shortages. Such a pleasant house, so interesting. I think it ranks up there as one of our favourites. A tea room & seperate cafe, indoor and outdoor seating including a lovely courtyard. Staff were so friendly & knowledgeable to chat too. The walled garden is a must & don’t forget to take a look at the huge potting shed ! As well as the ‘curved’ part of the walled garden. NT are clearly doing a lot to breath new life into Berrington. Good spacious nearby parking, toilets here to off the car-park. Dogs allowed in all parts except the house which was a big plus for us. We need to come back on a Monday to explore down below. Berrington is everything that you want a NT property to be.

Lovely place to visit with lots of beautiful walks. The bird life is plentiful. The house is interesting and worth looking around but the grounds are stunning. Be sure to get there early to ensure easy parking as there are fewer parking spaces than expected. I would also suggest you take your own food and drink as this was very mediocre and the only reason this is a 4 not a 5 star rating.

Lovely country house, gardens and estate let down by a few small things. Cafe team(s) focussed on everything other than customer interface and service. The long was is a lovely walk but finding walk across open fields not easy, paths need mowing to stand out and gates need maintenance.

Didn’t go in the house just walked around the lake and the walled garden which was pleasant. Had coffee was ok but one woman in her own dealing with a very large queue and complete chaos with the queue also being in the entrance to the inside seating area in the stables which was a bit dark and dingy. We sat outside which had pleasant views and plenty of seating . Not the best NT place I have visited but ok .
