Absolutely fantastic night. My wife and I enjoyed the experience on Friday 18 July and I’ve got to say it was brilliant. The young girl who took us around was really knowledgeable and bubbly. We tasted 4 gins all different and enjoyed chocolates along the way and at the end made our own bar of chocolate to take home. I would highly recommend this as a great experience. We loved it

A fantastic tour with the wonderful Harriet! Her enthusiasm and love for this place was clearly evident. She made the tour worth while. We managed to have our own sneaky tour as no one else turned up but this meant more chocolate throughout. A great way to learn and appreciate the confectionary we enjoy daily.

In order to experience the York Chocolate Story, I would highly recommend to book in advance - for two reasons a) it’s very busy there b) you get a discount.

I wasn’t too overwhelmed, it’s definitely fun for kids, you will learn about the factory’s history while tasting lots of chocolate & finish by creating your own chocolate masterpiece.

I would have liked to learn more about the whole factory history, however this might have been too long for a tour / or running this smoothly as everything is very timed - the tour is exactly 1h long.

the last bit of the tour is really just centered around the chocolate lolli - which is definitely fun for kids, but a bit silly for adults. we also would have liked to chose our own flavor for the lolli, unfortunately it was white chocolate only.

our guide was fantastic & great with everyone.

What an absolute pleasure it was for the Wife and I to go into the York Chocolate Story. Our guide Austin was very knowledgeable about the whole history of Chocolate manufacturing in York. Along the way as the story unfolds you are as guests invited to samples of Chocolate in its various stages of reaching the final process. You also are given the chance to produce a Chocolate 🍫 for you take away. The shop has a large amount of different tastes and choices to purchase. What a great experience thanks to Austin our guide.

We loved this place. We booked on a tour (only 4 on the tour). The tour guide was fun, knowledgeable and friendly and we loved the interactive mirror. Making a chocolate lolly was fun and having a look at the Kit Kat story was fun but small. Lastly we watched a chocolate demonstration which was interesting. Great shop with lots of yummy chocolates and gifts to buy. The whole experience took about 1 hour ❤️

We were bought tickets for the Chocolate and Gin Experience as a Christmas gift and decided to travel to York on a Friday to make an overnight trip in the city.
The venue is easy to find as it's near the Shambles. We were pleased to see there were another twelve people on the tour which made it more social and interesting. Our guide Pip was excellent and made the tour very informative and entertaining. We were all involved and the gin and chocolate tastings were delicious. To finish after about an hour and a half we all made our own chocolate bars. Really good fun and we would definitely recommend it.

Loved the experience, a bit expensive, but informative and fun tour. The tour guide are quite enthusiastic - we were taken around by Serena, energetic and engaging guide. Buying ticket online a day in advance atleast gets you a neat 20% discount.
