Natalie is very good at simplifying complex concepts and explaining them to those who are not directly involved in ad management. This helps make the decision-making process on my end much easier. I had an excellent experience with Add People. My account handler, Natalie, took a lot of time to understand our business and did a superb job putting together two Google Ads campaigns for us. I could easily see how each campaign became steadily more effective as she continually refined the parameters and by the end of each one they were very accurate at reaching their target audience.

Disappointed and Misled – Would Strongly Advise Against

I was initially approached by Add People through persistent cold calls. Despite my hesitation, I eventually gave them a chance after being told my self-built website was ā€œshockingā€ and that they could create something significantly better – with proper SEO, a strong online presence, and everything needed to generate leads. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing.

The website they delivered was incredibly underwhelming: only four basic pages listing our services, no real SEO structure, very little written content, and heavily reliant on AI-generated text and images. There were no blogs, no testimonials, no backlinks, and absolutely no keyword strategy – all fundamental aspects of a website that actually performs. The site’s overall quality score dropped to 85%, compared to the 99% score of the website I had built myself.

Since switching, we’ve gone from receiving 3–6 enquiries per week to none at all. When I raised concerns, there seemed to be a lack of understanding around what a high-performing website and SEO strategy actually involves.

What makes matters worse is that we’re now locked into a 6-month contract, with no option to leave early. During the sales pitch, I was told most customers go on to sign another contract after their initial term — based on our experience, I find that very hard to believe.

I had seen several negative reviews before signing up, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Sadly, I now regret that decision. Many of the issues raised by others reflect exactly what we’ve encountered.

Please don’t make the same mistake – do your research and avoid falling into the same trap.

My experience with Add People left me thoroughly disappointed. I initially received regular monthly calls detailing campaign performance and adjustments, which was reassuring. However, over time, this devolved into generic, automated emails offering little meaningful insight.

After a couple of years, I decided to review the campaign more closely and discovered that barely any changes—if any—had been made over several months. Despite this, my Google Ads budget was fully used, so I assumed the campaign was performing as expected.

Frustrated by the lack of effort, I eventually canceled my subscription, expecting the campaign to remain stable as Add People assured me it would. Given that minimal changes had been made in years, I believed the campaign would continue running effectively. To my dismay, the performance plummeted as soon as I left, less than half my budget was being used.

I am not saying they sabotaged the campaigns after cancellation or manipulated metrics with fake clicks, but the sudden decline raises significant concerns. This experience has left me questioning the integrity and quality of their service.

Before signing up, I was promised a lot. They will keep you sweet for a few months and then it become evident that their approach shifts to neglect over time. To make matters worse, I also used their website and hosting services, but that’s a separate story entirely..

My advice? Save your time, money, and peace of mind: look elsewhere for a service provider who will genuinely care about the success of your campaigns. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid Add People – Costly ā€œTrialā€ With Zero Results
I signed up for Add People’s 6-week trial after being bombarded with sales calls telling me how brilliant they were. Eventually, I gave in and decided to give it a go.

It started with a slick 30-minute intro call filled with marketing jargon and promises. Then came a second call with someone who was supposed to set everything up—but he couldn’t even connect my Google Ads account. I had to explain how to do it myself.

After that, there was a mysterious two-week delay before the ads even went live. Interesting how that eats up your statutory 30-day cooling-off period—almost like it’s by design.

Once the ads were finally running (at Ā£30 a day), I saw just one sale in two weeks. We had another 15-minute check-in where I was told the campaign was ā€œstill learning.ā€ But I’ve already spent over Ā£5,000 on Google Ads before—my account had done the learning. This wasn’t machine learning; it was just poor campaign setup.

I let it run for another week and a half. Still no results—just a Ā£750 bill from Google and no return on investment. When I asked for a refund, I was told it’s a ā€œtrial,ā€ sorry it didn’t work out, and no, they don’t offer refunds.

In short:
• Pushy sales tactics
• Incompetent setup
• Convenient delays that dodge refund windows
• Weak campaign performance
• Zero accountability or customer support

This ā€œtrialā€ ended up costing me hundreds, with absolutely nothing to show for it. I’d strongly recommend staying well away from Add People.

We hired Add People Ltd for Google Ads management, returning to them based on a previous good experience.

Unfortunately, our second run was a disaster:

Extremely high cost per conversion: We paid £38 for each conversion. We spent £456 a month on ads for about 12 leads. That was before their £238.80 monthly management fee.

Unauthorised budget increases: We thought we agreed to a £6 per day campaign plus our usual £350 budget. In April our ad spend shot up to £860. We never signed off on that.

Unapproved Direct Debit mandate: They sent a new direct debit mandate for an additional £34.12 monthly fee. We did not agree to this. There was no clear explanation. It was based on a vague comment on a video call, the details were not sent to us in writing.

Repeated underperformance: Our best booking season usually brings a rush of leads. Instead our enquiries dropped by more than half. The cost per conversion doubled.

Lack of transparency: We called and emailed to ask why this was happening. Each time we got unclear answers. We never got a clear action plan.

Does it make sense to pay almost £700 a month for 12 leads? Are you happy to let someone change your ad spend or bank mandate without your written consent?

We wanted to sort things out but nothing changed. In the end we paid a large exit fee just to leave.

If you run a small business and need results and clear communication you may want to look elsewhere. I wish we had.
