I had a positive experience thankfully, I was a little worried reading the other reviews. The front desk woman was very accommodating. I came to get my sons birth certificate, it is by appointment only. Denver and Douglass county do walk ins so I'd definitely call ahead just ti be sure if you're coming here.

Perfectly fine experience picking up some documents: set an appointment, show up, and get taken care of in a timely manner.

Regarding the hysteria around kids wearing masks: I have multiple kids that have ranged from 1 to 7 over the course of this pandemic. They do perfectly fine wearing masks. Yes, for toddlers they may not be able to do it for hours on end and require reminders and encouragement. But I try to emphasize for my kids that the can be helpers and feel proud of protecting others in their community. They're willing to tolerate a bit of discomfort for the good of others. We don't wear masks in our own home, so they're still seeing full facial expressions regularly, their speech development is normal, and I'd bet that they'll be excellent at reading people's eyes.

I know many other families that are successfully navigating masks with their kids. Obviously there are kids with special needs or sensory processing issues that might need accommodation, and we should all work with them and have empathy for those who struggle.

For most kids though, I think they would be best served by being empowered as a capable person that can work with others rather than fostering a victim mind set.

This will be the second time I'm going. The first time I went was for my late husband's death certificate. And that time I was pretty in and out. I went in talk to somebody got a clipboard with some paperwork to fill out went up give them the paperwork and my payment then I was printed out the death certificate right then and there. Now I'm going into get my daughter's birth certificate. And this time I set an appointment last time I did not but that was back before Corona so I don't know if you have to do appointments or there's just an option to set an appointment but this time I set an appointment so hopefully it doesn't take too long. The only thing was it was kind of dark in there. Like the lights were on but it just seemed dark inside it you know what I mean.

Tri-county Defunct! As of 12/31/2022! This hoax of an establishment has be defunded!! I hope all of the staff and Mr. Douglass retired from thinking that they can tell people how to live and behave and pushing Segregation. People believe that we moved away from it but over the last few years I have seen even the best people be influenced to segregate and separate because of what they hear on TV. Thank you to Douglass county for being the first to move away from this terrible establishment.

This establishment is a hoax. Defund Tri-County!
Surprised they even have 2 stars. They have now violated constitutional rights to our youngest citizens. Giving a slap in the face of the counties who made the decision to opt. out.
This mandate is not law and John M. Douglas your not God. This is one more example of a government entity over stepping and rejecting all the data but picking and choosing whatever fits the narrative of their agenda.
If you’re a parent and believe that it is okay to put a mask on your child and suffocate them we really don’t have much of a future of humanity. It’s not patriotic, it’s not cute, it’s not cool, and no establishment ever has the right to violate your rights.

Why on earth are we enforcing masks on children!? Do you have any idea what it feels like telling a three year old they have to deal with the mask no matter how much they hate it? It feels horrible. These kids deserve better and are going to be deprived of learning facial ques and interpreting sentences. Kids learn and grow by watching facial expressions and pairing them with certain words and emotions. All these masks are doing is causing early psychological damage and future issues.

If you are not going to synchronize with state leadership, you need to get out and step down DR John Douglas. Polis has been amazing and the message clear and direct. Get over yourself and align with leadership on masks. Your overbearing approach has diminished public confidence and when masks might truly be needed, they will not listen because you exasperated them.

Wow! The nerve of these people. My 12 year old son tested positive for COVID. I received a phone call from a woman who asked me questions that were absolutely non of her business. She asked me twice if me or my child were vaccinated which is non of her business!! She acted and spoke like a bully! Making people feel guilty for not sharing there personal information so they can collect their data. Proves that all the facts are skewed. Shame on you!

An absolute pleasure to do business with this government office for vital records, their standards and metrics seem to be like a private company! Excellent communication, very friendly, helpful, efficient, and will try to find solutions if you have an unusual situation. David and team should be very proud of their hard work and dedication to serving the public. Thanks again for everything!!
