My screen shot below shows he is confused; I asked for 150mm and was sent 145mm the 2nd time. He’s changed his response again- see my screenshot. He suggested 148mm and I accepted as I thought he’d know better than me. I did not call him misleading but sending me 150mm but telling me they were 148mm(causing me to order 150 more ), was a misleading act.As you can see from his response, he confuses things, and I thought a third party who I know is very calm could help me explain as the stress was making my dyslexia worse. Please post my “insulting” messages or can’t you because they don’t exist. I look forward to hearing from you solicitor.
I ordered 145mm tiles as I thought they’d fit, they didn’t. It was my fault so I ordered 150mm. I didn’t even contact the shop about the very first order.
The shop send me 145mm in error. In fairness, the shop owner was fantastic. He then recommended, 148mm. I accepted .
I received what I believed was 148mm. I stuck them up and they looked great. So messaged the seller and asked for the link to order the 148mm . I ordered 150 tiles which came in three packets.
I still had some of the old “148mm” tiles so I started finishing tiling the kitchen. All was well until I reached the new packet. At first I thought it was a one off issue with them not fitting, so I chose another tile from the same packet. Same issue with a few mm gap. I opened the two other packets and found the same issue. I even pulled off the original “148mm” and put a new tile there in case some of my tiles were slightly bigger on one side of my kitchen or the grout was slightly thinner. Nope, these new tiles didn’t fit. I then measure the “148mm” I was sent and found out they were 150mm.I was dreading contacting the seller but after looking at other options, including painting the gaps with tile paint, I contacted the seller again. This was the second wrong size to be sent and told the seller that there had been another error. The seller didn’t seem to understand that while they had sent 148mm the second time( I don’t dispute this was the correct size ), I only made a large order based on thinking the first set I was sent were also 148mm when they were in fact 150mm. I said I felt I had been misled in the sizing. The seller then refused to help further. I tried explaining that I don’t think they are misleading but the sizing is. I also said I have dyslexia which is why maybe I’m not explaining things as well as I’d like. That I only made a a big order as he has said they were 148mm.
I even had a friend call to help me explain and the owner was very rude to them too and said he wouldn’t sell anymore tiles.I’ve been called a “Nasty Person.”, a “liar,”. I’ve been told to “shut up.” And that he won’t refund me as I used some tiles if I continue with this “rubbish”. I did try an open what I thought was a case on Etsy, but it was a message. He then wrote he keeps getting silly messages from me and I’m “getting on his nerves.” I was also told “You being dyslexic does not mean that you can accuse me of deliberately misleading you and think it's ok, dyslexia does not make you accuse things.” I never for one moment said the error was deliberate . He had even said when he sent the first wrong set that he had two new members of staff “so it must be one of them.” Again, accidents do happen, especially with new staff. It was an issue that could easily be fixed.
The initial customer service was great too. The products are great and the easiest transfers I’ve used. The results were lovely.
I don’t know if it was a bad day or something else but had this incident not happened, I would have given five stars.
