Fake reviews.
Had a bad experience with JT Plumbing from Chichester, where they broke my boiler cover during a service and refused to fix it. Submitted a review to reflect this with Checkatrade, but despite evidence where the plumber admitted that he broke it, they refused to publish the review.
What is the point of "checking trades" when they don't reflect customer experience?

They have aggressive marketing and promise £200 Amazon vouchers for joining, do not fall for this. I invited a person to join their business and they said I’ll get a voucher. I been called several times and send emails and keep promising they will fix and call me back. They lied to me more than 10 times. Also emails I send I never got response. I’m with them about 7 months and also no jobs they offer, around 1 /week and they just take £150 from my account monthly. They are friendly and nice when you sign the contract after you are completely ignored. No support. They have a whapp number and answer after few days. You reply and after few days they reply again. I can prove all my above text. I have screenshot and recorded conversations with them. Unprofessional staff, they still call me to offer me more are for jobs asking for money. When I tell them I been scammed they hang up… Don’t fall for this aggressive marketing

When the worldwide Pandemia started in 2020, Checkatrade increased prices an average of 400%. Last 2024, the price increase was 75%.
The business that you are getting from them has gone down in the same level.
You hardly ever get back what you paid for the membership.
I've been with them for over 10 years, and I have no intention of renewing my membership.

Checkatrade have gone down hill and lie about the leads. Getting no leads and also got a tradesperson signed up as they were offering £500 cash back and after constant emails they keep saying they are looking into it. Proper scam beware and do not sign up!

They sold me 2 months of directory, then they kept charking me for 4 months. I called during these months (1.5h wait) and told them I do not want this directory. They told me that I have missed the email they sent to cancel the service but turned out they send the invoices to the correct email address and the request for cancellation to a different business address. They said they will fix it but i need to pay in the meantime. No call back and I am still paying. Im on the phone right now and they have put me on hold.

IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP
I have attempted on several occasions to CANCEL my membership with Checkatrade and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to CANCEL my membership. I have emailed, called and been redirected to reduce to £30 a month but still I cannot cancel. Now being threatened by LEGAL ACTION for a membership fee I did not sign upto. I DO NOT WANT YO RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP CHECKATRADE SO please CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP. Do I NEED to get a no win no fee solicitor to het this membership CANCELLED !!! Really ?

Don't trust signing a contract. They called me every few times and stressed and bothered me, I started filling out the application but gave up halfway through because I didn't like the terms. Someone decided that it should be completed on my behalf, which I don't agree with, and when I thought it was all over, I got an email saying I had to pay £166 for the whole year. It was terrible, there is no option to cancel and they don't answer the phone, a well-prepared scheme. Now I'm thinking of contacting a lawyer.

Today it’s remove me from checktrade it’s say to me it’s new contract start now 12 months I have pay 2 months payment
Today it’s say to me if you want you Acounte back live you have to pay full year for 18k to make full payment this not normal thing
