Fantastic experience
The whole experience with CES was a very positive one. From start to finish we were made to feel included in the process. The engineers, on the whole, were very professional and respected us as homeowners and the property with care. The work was done to a very high standard and all works were completed on time.
The explanations we were given were explained in such a way as to ensure we had a full understanding on what was going on and all question were answered politely.
The only downside was a lack of an order of works. But this was said to the company at the time and was told that this was already being looked into.
We are already seeing an improvement in household bills and the house already feels warmer.

Terrible workmanship
Failed to connect an earth cable to the fuse box causing stainless steel fridge and freezer to malfunction.
They will not accept responsibility and left me to try and find the funds to replace.
More to follow.

Damp now coming through as windows get so wet on the inside even with vents open. Have called them but no follow up. Just as well I pushed to get a window sill or could only imagine.
Had to buy a new fridge/ Freezer as would not accept responsibility.
Came up with some bull about it being damaged when they started. Even though house was left in dangerous condition due to no earth connection in fuse box.
Was also left with no water in kitchen for a week so could not do any washing in kitchen. No washing machine had to do hand washing in the bath. Plasterers had to mix in the bath as no water in kitchen or outside tap.
Small dent in washing machine.
Vents in loft were not connected properly and just venting into loft. Now fixed. (Sort of)
Broken slate on roof which let water in when it rained they also denied damages to this but still replaced it but left us to repair and paint ceiling in living room.

A year ago, I answered a cold call simply to take a break from my computer — and I still can’t quite believe what has come from that call. Because we had oil heating and I have a long-term health condition, we qualified for a completely new solar panel heating system, with brand-new double radiators, loft insulation, and air vents.

Our journey began in April 2024 with the installation of the heating system. Dan and his team worked incredibly hard, were polite and professional, and made sure everything was properly finished before leaving — they even cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. Later, two young lads came to complete the loft insulation. They were also polite, but unfortunately, they didn’t clean up as well and forgot to replace some of our loft boards.

There were some delays in officially signing the work off, mainly due to communication issues between different departments, but everything has now been completed for about six months. Since then, we've become much more mindful about when we use the washing machine or dishwasher, timing it to maximise the electricity we generate.

Over the winter, on very cold days, our energy costs could reach £40-£50 a day. Now that the weather is warming up, we’re spending about half that — and I expect it to drop even further once the full summer heat arrives. The benefits of the loft insulation were noticeable straight away, making a real difference to the warmth of our home.

The full package, including 12 solar panels, was valued at £30,000. From day one, the system has worked perfectly, and we would absolutely do it all over again. Our home feels warmer throughout, and we now have instant hot water, which has been a real bonus. The air and water heat pump was bigger than we expected, needing more space than we had imagined, but we've adapted to it easily.

We haven't had a full summer yet with the system, so we can’t give a complete financial picture, but so far, the signs are very encouraging. Overall, we’re extremely happy with the outcome and grateful for the improvements to our home.

Once the grant was agreed, the installation date quickly followed. It is quite an experience, interior wall insulation on all external facing walls throughout the house is quite disruptive but the team were efficient, polite and cleared up after themselves as they went. There were a few issues around the siting of the air source but it was installed quickly, apart from underfloor in 2 rooms which took a little longer. However, with the solar panels also installed, we are fully up and running, and we are amazed at how warm the entire house is plus hot water. The shower is the best its ever been! Definitely worth having done! Time will tell if the solar panels energy production will offset the running cost of the air source heating.

I waited in anticipation and certainly wasn’t disappointed. The whole process was well planned with good consultation and planning. Happily now with 20 solar panels and a very much warmer property. Really really happy with the whole project. The staff were very accommodating and always offered practical solutions to any issues that arose. Just finished painting and the house looks sooooo much better. Fab job.

Excellent company.
All Staff very friendly, efficient, and hard working. Not one of the various teams left any mess, and all tidied up before they left.

I had a couple of minor teething troubles, which were sorted, and the System now works perfectly, with my Solar Panels powering everything, even in cloudy weather.

Second freezing cold winter due to this company.

Truly and genuinely one of the most enduring and horrific experiences of my life.

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Currently in an ombudsman process:

- they irrepairably damaged my roof after not accurately surveying its suitability for solar panels. Agreed to pay for basic repairs, but when the true damage was revealed, it became clear that the roof was completely beyond repair and required full replacement (including new rafters).

- they badly botched ASHP heating, based on incorrect heat loss data and a rushed install due to 3rd party contractor wanting to maximise their pay. Wrong radiator sizes installed (not large enough to heat the home). Pipes installed the wrong way around and the wrong size. A long list of nightmares, including an exploding water tank, leaks and system cutting out completely at zero degrees.

Fast forward over 18 months and still no heat at all. Condensation now covering every wall, threatening mould problems. Living conditions are dire.

This company have refused to provide temporary heating whilst roof being repaired and will not assist in roof repairs themselves. Will not complete works until site deemed safe as it is raining indoors with hanging cables. However, cables hanging are due to their own request to take a ceiling down for access to pipes.

A literal nightmare that has gone far beyond any level of decency or humanity.
