I believe this agency seriously lacks integrity and ethics.

After agreeing a contract role with them (we agreed a day rate, start date and were in discussions about contract type) and quitting my job to take up the role, they pulled out at the very last minute saying they'd now chosen someone else. I found this absolutely appalling and it left me in a very precarious financial situation.

The client I was due to work for via IE, and who recommended me for the role to IE, was equally outraged. This didn't seem to affect IE's decision.

IE's excuse, backed up by their CEO, was that we had not signed a formal contract so therefore their behaviour was acceptable. They also disingenuously tried to pass off the incident merely as an unfortunate 'misunderstanding'.

It's a shame that people can't be trusted to honour agreements and even worse when they fall behind the excuse of not being in a legal contract to justify their unethical behaviour.

I would not take them at their word and I would not recommend working for them or engaging their services.
