Fantastic service from start to finish. I broke my frame and my local opticians would not replace it. I have special lens and didn’t want to pay £400 plus for new glasses. I found this company online and delighted that I did. The online order was easy to complete. I sent my broken specs and lens via special delivery on Friday. On Saturday, Shaun emailed me to let me know that he would begin working on them straightaway and they were sent the very same day. I wasn’t in to receive them on Sunday but have them now. Friendly service. Quick and efficient and I’m more than happy with my frame. I have a new pair of ‘old’ glasses.

Used their online service, wanting new frames with my own prescription lenses in broken frames. The customer service from start to finish was impeccable. Shaun replied to all my emails within minutes usually and was flexible and informative with my changes. They received my lenses and broken frames on Weds, I had new frames on my door mat 3 days later - doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you very much, happy with my ‘new/old’ glasses.

Ilkeston Factory Specs is top-quality, particularly for tinted lenses. I came in with some tinted Marc Jacob’s sunglasses I’d had for years. Now a prescription user I wanted to see if I could get them updated and finally make use of them again.

Shaun matched the colours so precise onto a prescription you would never know they’ve been replaced!

A real hidden gem business! Don’t let looks deceive you - The only way I can describe it is it’s like going into a restaurant that looks like your grandmas living room, but when the food comes out it’s the best thing you’ve ever tasted! Second time in 18 months that i have been to Ilkeston Factory Specs, this time was to reglaze my frames from single vision lenses to varifocal, the level of service was again exceptional!!! A friendly, relaxed, hassle free, professional service with no pressure sales.
Sean(Shaun) & Juliette talk you through your prescription, answer & explain clearly any questions you have & then take a measurement of your eyes to ensure your lenses/glasses provide optimum performance.
The value for money & quality of the goods beats the large main high street opticians hands down! Do your eyes & your bank account a favour & visit these for your next glasses

Long overdue review, few weeks ago one evening i broke my glasses in half.. id had them for 10+ years, had no spares and no details on prescription, i also need them for work, id never felt so blind... Called these guys the next morning and explained my predicament, instantly told me to come down to the shop, WITHIN AN HOUR of me being there they had figured out my prescription from my broken glasses, helped me select a new frame and cut the new lenses.. i was speechless. This is the only place ill be coming to for glasses, Will be coming for sunglasses in the near future!

What a great service. I sent my broken frames with my expensive variofical lenses to Ilkeston factory specs. They were so FAST - back with me in the same week. Brilliant. I loved the frames they choose - they suit me well and the funky design of the temples perfect for my quirky personality. Recommend their service and really good comms too.
