I have wanted to visit Los Moros since Jay Rayner reviewed almost 2 years ago and I drooled over the pictures and descriptions. However, I live nowhere near York, but lucky me, I was visiting for work this week!
I had high expectations and they were smashed. Everything was absolutely delicious. I was with a colleague who doesn't eat red meat, so I didn't order the ox cheeks or merguez that I would've usually. Next time, as there WILL be a next time! Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic and the vibe was wonderful. I even ate and enjoyed cauliflower. I have NEVER enjoyed cauliflower!!
It was all so enticing that I kept forgetting to take photos.
Highly highly recommend.

I've eaten here three times so far and will be going back again. Great food, great value and Great atmosphere. I've attached photos but my photography isn't up to the standard of their presentation. I wholeheartedly recommend.

First time here after been recommended,& What a fantastic place.
Staff was so lovely and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious.
The beef cheek was the tastiest food I had eaten& cooked to perfection.
My husband had the lamb rump and was also delicious and cooked prefect.
Everything is cooked fresh so there is a wait ,but with a glass of nice wine and a good atmosphere ,It wasn’t a problem for us as well worth the wait.
💯 we will be returning as cannot wait to try some more of this lovely food.10/10👌

Outstanding. Was pleasantly surprised finding this little gem. The food was beautiful.. the best we've had in a long time! The service was friendly and had a lovely atmosphere. Felt like we were away on holiday. Definitely recommend and will soon return on our next visit to York.

Had a lovely meal, the beef cheek was absolutely amazing! And the staff were all so friendly and welcoming.

The Los Moros Pale ale was a great hit as well!

Had an absolutely beautiful meal here last night. We both opted for a full plate rather than the small plates they also offer. The food was incredible. I had the chicken tagine and it was delicious, fragrant, delicate and flavoursome. The chocolate and coffee mousse was like nothing I'd had before. This is the best food I've had in York and the service was also excellent. Well worth the money and will definitely be back.

Unbelievable food! It was my birthday and I wanted a reasonably priced, not fancy/ pretentious place to celebrate with my family and Los Moros was the perfect restaurant. Hands down the best place to eat in York, if you want mouth watering, delicious food… look no further!
In the photos below we enjoyed the Hummus and flatbread, buttermilk chicken, chilli prawns, aged lamb and a few other amazing dishes!!
