Excellent letting agency who provide a very friendly, honest and reliable service. We are currently living in one of their properties and plan to continue using their services next year too. When we signed for the tenancy initially, the house was in the process of being renovated. M&D kept us updated with the progress of the build and allowed us to view it regularly. The house is finished to an extremely high standard and is the nicest student house that I have lived in in my four years of living in Cardiff. Whenever we need to get in touch with M&D they are very easily contactable and always go above and beyond to help in any way they can. Would confidently recommend M&D to anyone.

I also sold my property through them; again the best service ever (at a fair price ). They are in danger of giving Estate Agents a good name. We had M&D come to our home to have a chat and help sell our home. The whole experience was pleasant, professional and extremely efficient. We sold within a week and moved in 3 months, we did not even have a for sale sign up on our home (I personally don’t like a sale sign), all done on line, like it is these days, lots of viewings, I cleaned and tidied the house once for viewings, I dreaded keeping it up with my 3 boys, but it sold so quickly. Dan was honest, knows how to sell a home and very supportive throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend them to my friends, family and everyone who wants to sell and move on. Xx

Having initially given a 5 star review at the beginning of my tenancy with M&D (I live with Sioned and Joanne below) I am now giving a 1 star at the end of 2 years with them - I would give zero if I could.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

M&D won't make it clear to you when you sign that they don't actually manage any properties themselves and are in fact merely a middle man for Midas Lettings. Yet they will make promises they can't keep regarding any contractual disputes etc. (they promised us we wouldn't be liable to paying a check out fee for instance) yet upon our leaving the property we have been faced with nearly £500 of charges to no evidence. This includes a £280 check out fee, £50 to replace a toilet seat (none of which were broken upon our leaving), £140 for a "light clean" despite being told via email that we had "left the property in a high standard".

We contacted Dan Murphy at M&D to dispute this since the fee was waved at the beginning of our tenancy and his response was (Quoted) "As you will be aware by now [the property we rented] isn't managed by M&D Properties we are employed by Midas Lettings"... "I don't have control over anything with this house financially"... "I can't help"

We are disgusted at the dishonest nature of this situation, since Dan Murphy himself made promises to us regarding the contract and never once made it clear that we would indeed be renting from a different lettings agent with their own set of rules.

I am currently in contact with a legal team on behalf of our house to ensure no money is taken from us and will be threatening legal action if this is not resolved soon.
