I was looking for covers to go over the arms of my comfortable old armchair, so that I wouldn’t wear the main covers out for a second time and saw leather covers online.
Thinking they’d be ideal, but looking for something local and hand-crafted, I asked Tony at Morgan Leather if he could help. He looked out the perfect match for what I had in mind and cut them to size to fit & I’m just delighted with them. The leather is lovely & supple with a great colour and feel, and it will only ever look even better with age. Such lovely service & one very happy customer! 🙂

A wonderfully rich interesting and enjoyable day making a belt from scratch. Tony is a fabulous instructor and him and his wife Kathy provided a sumptuous lunch as well. Can’t recommend it enough .. thanks guys 👍

Thanks Tony and Kath for hosting our group in the cozy atmosphere of your home. As a start up exercise the belt making course was a perfect introduction to leather craft. I came away with a very useful item and a head full of ideas. I now have the necessary skills and information to make the right choices in the tools and equipment I need.
Your tuition was great and the group was a perfect size. Lunch was a real highlight and the overall feeling was one of generosity. There is something about the coming together of like minded folk that makes for a special occasion. Well done.

After a lot searching around I found Tony on-line and asked if he could restore an unusual family heirloom, a Royal Navy issue canvas bag which belonged to my deceased father and dates from between 1947 and 1957. It had stayed in regular use until the 70s and then was stored in the loft. The leather edging and other parts were in a very bad way and the zip was stuck. Even though it was out of the ordinary Tony offered to work on it even though it was outside his normal work - he also researched how to improve the canvas as well as the leather. It has now been returned and is totally usable again and we will put it to good use. Tony was excellent in keeping me informed of progress, by email and photos. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tony's work. We are very grateful for having the bag back, it was also appropriate that it came back on what would have been my father's 91st birthday.

Just have to review this fantastic belt making course with Tony of Morgan leather.
My wife and I have had the most educational and fantastic day making our leather belts. Tony supplies everything you need and has the patience of a saint. A big thankyou for the soup your wife made us, it was fantastic, and the most beautiful homemade sourdough bread and cheese we had. Cake, biscuits and plenty of tea coffee and water. Nothing too much trouble
We highly recommend.

Brilliant day spent making my very own leather belt under Tony's expert guidance. My wife had very thoughtfully given me a voucher for a birthday present, I'd been talking about having a go at leather craft and making a wallet or belt for ages. Tony is very knowledgeable & patient, explaining each step throughout the whole process from selecting the best hide to begin, through all of the specialist tools right up to to the final polish and finishing. I learnt a great deal, had a fab homemade lunch, (need to get his Sourdough Bread recipe!) and brought home an amazing quality belt which will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this course for absolutely anyone with even the slightest interest in having a go at leather work.
