I went to a one-off pop-up PUB event in Gloucester and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a nice relaxed event with plenty of time to network and share ideas, and an engaging and useful presentation. Lots of laughter, which you don’t always get at these events, and a good mixed group of people. Nice vibe overall, good networking for people who don’t like stuffy networking! I’d knock off maybe half a star for the venue, which was a bit noisy, but I did mention this to Milo, the organiser, and he was aware and open to alternative venues for future events here.

We attended our first PUBNetworking meeting at The United Bethren in Chelmsford in January 2024 and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The event is very relaxed and because the number of attendees is quite small you do get to know people and learn about their business.

The format is a winning mix of relaxed but productive networking, some great presentations and some humour thrown in! I've been a regular attendee at these events - and always found them to be relaxed, friendly and engaging. The format isn't like your standard business networking event, as you can have a pint in your hand whilst making new business contacts, and you get to hear from everyone in the room.
As well as this, there have been some very interesting presentations that have given a lot of good tips! Would definitely recommend - particularly to anyone who doesn't feel confident in a traditional networking environment.

I attended my first Powered Up Business Networking evening last week. It was a great event. Different to any other networking event I have been to in the past. Good venue, relaxed atmosphere, diverse crowd from a wide range of business sectors. Everybody was friendly and approachable, being held above a pub gave the event a different feel to the usual, awkward networking scenario you may be used to!

It was a well structured evening with audience participation 😉 which was a genius idea as by the end of the evening we all knew each other and what we do for a living, or what our businesses offer.

Lots of laughter, lots of new contacts, lots of useful info from the night’s speaker - what more could you ask for!

I would definitely recommend PUB Networking to business owners in Ipswich looking to network in a very relaxed environment and maybe even over a beer or 3. Every 3rd Thursday of the month brings a different presentation from local entrepreneurs sharing their knowledge and experience to the group. Milo Dunne is always happy to answer any questions about the events and is very welcoming to newcomers.
