I run a small business where we generate enquiries through our website.

We've hired freelance organic search experts before, we've hired expensive organic search agencies before, and we've probably interviewed a dozen more of each. But we've never made a success of our organic search efforts. Despite £tens of thousands of investment in content, design, link building, and technical stuff over a number of years, our results just aren't good.

It's frustrating paying fortunes to professionals and getting no where, so my general opinion of SEOs and agencies is unfortunately quite low.

Ruth just has a completely different set of standards and values.

She seems to have everything you could want in an SEO. She knows it all, there's no doubt about that. But she can communicate it too. She translates abstract SEO concepts to actual things you need to do to hit your business goals. She doesn't baffle you with complexity like a lot of SEOs and agencies do, she makes it her job to make the complex, simple.

She's supportive but very straight and realistic with you. She'll tell you where your problems are, and get you focussed on what you need to do better.

She's also extremely fair when it comes to pricing. She was transparent, honest, and just straight-forward to deal with. She didn't try and charge a fortune and tell me we needed her for everything. She told us where she could add the most value, and where we could get other jobs done more cheaply. This type of honesty and real guidance are really rare to find in my experience.

I know agencies say they're like "your in-house marketing team", but in my experience it's just never the case. With Ruth, I genuinely feel like she's our in-house SEO consultant, who gives the advice to best-benefit the business... Not herself. That's something I don't believe I've ever had from agencies before.

I've been working with Ruth over a number of months now. She completely over-delivered on the project we did together and is helping start to transform our business.

Genuinely cannot thank Ruth enough and can't wait to work together further (once we've cleared the long list of work she's identified for us!)
