I've recently purchased a roller shutter door from this company. Overall everything has been fine. I fitted the door yesterday without any hassle. If I had to pick fault it would be that the delivery took twice as long as stated but we do live in Wales so I think they were waiting for more than one delivery out this way. The more annoying problem was someone at the factory had drilled the hole in the wrong place for the manual override rod . The door looks to be of fairly good quality overall and it was packaged well with no transit damage. My wife said the delivery driver was a nice helpful bloke. A door this size under 3m in width with the more expensive controller , sensors and toggle switch will cost you around £700. I hope the door lasts for many years . Update April 2025. I had a question about my safety sensor feature and whilst the woman on the phone was as helpful as she could be there was no technical help over the phone and she referred me to the owners manual. It's still working ok.
Thanks for the reply..the door hasn't been fitted for a few years.. it's less than 12 months old and still under warranty,it was purchased in December 2024. , you don't even know when you sold something. Quite frankly I expect any warranty is worthless anyway due to your attitude towards customers.
How not to treat your customers and reduce a four star review to two !!!!

From initial enquiry to fitting (4 weeks), the whole process was seamless and professional.
The initial site survey was informative and clear and I was kept informed throughout the interim period.
The fitting was professional, the installation completed in about 3 hours and the site was left perfectly clean, with my old metal garage doors taken away.

What a transformation! Roller door UK make absolutely fantastic kits. I’m so pleased with the new garage door. it’s made to measure, it was packed well and designed well. It was a breeze to fit!. I Got the old door out and this one installed myself with no assistance at all even with lifting in 3 hours, superb customer service also! Would recommend to all.

We purchased a roller door from Signature Blinds and shutters in July; £700.00 deposit was paid on the 1st July. Signature made a mistake in not confirming the door with you, Roller Door UK. We let this slide as mistakes can happen, and we were told the door would be delayed by a week by Signature after being given a 3-week lead time by them. As the weeks passed, we were keen to book in a date for the install as we needed to secure the garage due to the new pump room being installed, and didn't want thousands of pounds' worth of copper on show. Signature was hesitant to pass on a date as you advised not to, as no date confirmed was passed on by you, RDUK. This raised ALARM BELLS as we were now entering week four after we pressured Signature to cancel the door; it all unravelled. That door hadn't even been made, and it was not going to be us for another two weeks unless they went to collect the door. That's six weeks to turn a door around. My partner Blake, emailed you regarding the deposit, as we are still waiting to be told we must speak to Signature, as the contract is with them, not you. That's fine, we have spoken to them and, more so, seen all the emails and WhatsApp messages between Debbie and John to Signature, so we have a clear picture. It's clear to see that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing up Your lead times are completely out of sync with what your team is putting out. Now you are holding onto our deposit which signature requested from you over a week ago to be told it will be done on the next payment run let me tell you RDUK LTD you are not that bigger of a company to have a accounts department that takes over a week to refund £700.00 it would take five minutes to action and would prevent reviews like this which, I will leaving all over your review sites and social media this week and until we receive our deposit. If Signature weren't so upfront and hadn't offered to drive and go the extra mile, they would be receiving the same reviews.

Very poor quality roller door.
Ordered from these guys, all good with delivery . Just short of 24 months the motor packed in. ( was replaced under warranty)
Not long after, scrapes started to show on the shutter. The roller box has warped in 2 places and is scraping the shutter in 3 separate places.
All 4 roller shutter straps have snapped one after another causing damage and indentations to the door. The roller shutter itself is very flimsy indeed .
I’ve contacted the company and sent photos but heard nothing back.
It really is a poor quality roller door.
I don’t recommend at all !

The quality of the door far exceeded my expectations. Very good build quality.
Fitting was really easy. Took me 2.5 hours to remove the old door and fit the new one.

55mm roller garage door in anthracite.

Door arrived and shipping update good, on installation, I soon realised that the measurements were out, width & height, wrong way round 🤦‍♂️. Anyway, managed to work with what I had but certainly a challenge.

Day 1) we installed the door, with 30mm to make up on the width, I had to add 4x2 timbers to make up but it went in well. Unfortunately, the operation of the door didn't work correctly and I was unable to open the door fully.

Day 2) after making contact with the company, we soon realised that we had excess slates in the curtain which needed to be removed. We also had an issue with the straps, which at this point had created an issue due to them deforming and basically causing the curtain to not roll symmetrical on the roller. After taking 3 slates out, removing pins from the straps to align them correctly and reinstalling everything, things seemed to be going in the right direction. I set the limits and we are done 👏🏻. Looks amazing and operates great.

Note: triple check your measurements before submitting and even when it arrives, check sizing before you rip out the old door.

Although a very difficult installation, issues were mostly down to sizing, but on the hole, I am really happy with the end result and this company are very accommodating by sending videos to aid you in the installation process.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family in the future.
