Disappointing, Dishonest, and a Complete Waste of Time

I had a very frustrating experience with Start People. They required me to attend a job induction process, giving the impression that work would start shortly afterward. However, week went by, and I received no updates or clear communication.

When I contacted them to follow up, they claimed they had been trying to reach me and that their calls went straight to voicemail—which was completely untrue. I never received any missed calls, voicemails, or other attempts to contact me. To make matters worse, while waiting for them to provide work, I had to turn down two other job opportunities because I trusted that they would deliver as promised.

This lack of transparency, dishonesty, and disregard for people’s time and opportunities left a terrible impression. If you're looking for a reliable agency to find work, I would strongly recommend avoiding Start People.

Matt called me about a job in my area which I was keen to apply for and held off my job search for. After not hearing back I called him and was told he'd call me back the following week. He's never called me back and the job has since been taken down with no explanation. Appalling lack of communication, and utter disrespect for my time - will definitely steer clear in future.

Start people is a fantastic agency/recruitment place to work for, from the day I started with them to the day I got a permanent position, I don’t have a bad thing to say about my time spent working for them.
The recruitment coordinator Nadya Ruskova who looked after us is an asset to the company, if you had a problem or needed help, you just telephoned or sent an email and the subject would sorted at the drop of a hat
