Just wanted to say thank you to Hinckley tesco, you maybe small but always well stocked with knowledgeable,polite and dedicated staff ❤️ would like to say a big thanks to a lovely lady whom sadly I never got her name, who spotted the queues getting longer and without direction from management nor supervisor took it upon herself to open another till.
Some people will probably say "urgh she's only doing her job" well I say this she saw a problem and took initiative without being prompted, after she finished serving me I said thankyou and wished he well for the rest of her shift sadly she 7 hrs of it left.
People sadly say younger people are clueless and can't do anything without a person of authority directing them, this person was completely thinking at least 2 steps ahead for the stores customers, well done to you and to tescos Hinckley keep up the good work 🍻❤️👍

The Hinckley Tesco is by no means the largest Tesco, but it is incredibly well stocked all the time, probably something to do with having a large distribution hub on the outskirts of town.

It does most of what you need on you r weekly shop, good alcohol selection, it’s too small to have clothes and some of the other things you get in the Tesco Extra’s but it’s still very good.

They have a petrol station and do click and collect, I would recommend getting a Clubcard as you can make significant savings on lots of items.

Good little supermarket.

I used this Tesco for the first time I used Customer Service to purchase a lottery ticket which member of staff was very helpful she gave me her pen to use and i paid for it we had a little chat about the weather etc. Because I was on a Mobility Scooter I asked her what the Rd was called as I was having to phone for assistance to get back home with Scooter by Taxi and she told me the Rd as it was raining but then I wanted to purchase some snacks I went back to her I said i need to pay half cash half card payment which I gave cash first but then my card wasn't going through on 85p I said that I shall put back other snack but next minute she as got her purse out and paid for it which was really kind of her I thanked her so I think that she deserves a reward for the brilliant customer service I received on the 25/09/2024 around 19.10pm her name was Sarah as she had name on her badge she even wanted to check that my Taxi was on way as she was think finishing her shift just after 19.30pm in which I said that Taxi was here and thanked her again

Went to the store for a meal deal. Found a couple of items out of date. 22nd July when date was 23rd July. Reported it to customer service. Staff with poor attitude and not very good service. Left without buying anything as didn't trust the hygiene practices.

Pathetic service

Shop floor says one about for limit on alcohol(no limit like its been for every other time I've visitied) then two helpful colleagues who didn't know apparently they've never served loads of alcohol( in this case 10 bottles I've bought more before) and come between themselves and another helper at a number of 6.... I've been told buy other people who shop there sometimes idiotic things happen like this depending on personnel working. I want to know thw answer do they judge on a set of criteria is the hue of a person one of it Genuinely would like to know. Other shops have limits but it's spoken or written clearing sort yourselves out T E S C O.

Disgusting customer service!

Everytime I go into this store I find the customer service abysmal, especially on the self checkouts.

A female member of staff today was so stand offish with me for no reason at all, and looked me up and down in an extremely judgemental manner when purchasing a bottle of wine. She didn't ID me but approved the purchase, and then gave me a very disapproving look like she didn't believe I was a legal age to buy alcohol.

I informed her I am 30, and she is more than welcome to look at me ID (plus a smile wouldn't go a miss), and she again gave me a dirty look, turned around, and shook her head like I was some sort of dog mess on the bottom of her shoe!

I actually have a hidden disability, and I do not wish to be judged when I go shopping!

This store has a choke-point.
The self-service machines, two card and two cash, makes trying to actually pay for the items take longer than the shopping did.
Every time I come in here, there is a queue at the checkouts. Doesn't matter what time.
To top it off, the machines are outdated and slow, the scales don't recognise light items without pressing down on them after scanning. You also always feel pressured to rush because of the increasing queue size backing into the aisles where people are trying to shop.

For this reason alone I will choose Morrisons 9 times out of 10. They have atleast 5x the amount of checkouts for efficiency and tbh the store just looks a lot nicer.

Tesco it's time to increase the budget a little here you've become the worst supermarket in Hinckley!

A conveniently located, medium size Tesco's. It has a petrol station situated within its reasonably sized car park as well as an electric vehicle charging point.
I had no issues on my visit. I walked in, selected the items that I needed, paid at the tills, happy customer!

I find this a weird branch - it's a decent size and yet doesn't seem to have much of what I need and can get at other supermarkets of the same size. There is no fresh counter or proper bakery and Tesco fresh food never has decent use-by dates. It's handy for popping in when going to the station and early for a train, but otherwise not much to offer.

This store is not the best for shopping and certainly the checkout operatives are not happy. I would always use click and collect as today I was left waiting for a considerable amount of time whilst the operative attempted to find a barcode without success. Whilst scanning she threw all the items without any care and C attention taken.

More of a customer service experience than a shopping experience but there's a certain member of staff watching the self serve tills today that needs to be retained. Someone that has anxiety paying for their shopping and then suddenly this female member of staff comes up behind them harassing them making sure they'd scanned their shopping but to also makesure they'd simply scanned a carrier bag!
Without even asking simply pressed on the screen and added one.

Came here the other day and the same member of staff shut the till after an old ages gentleman had finished loading their shopping onto the belt, not only dies she have no respect for the elderly but she's got no customer service skills, she's not approachable, when confronted she was then rude to me!
