The company is known for its amazing tour around the factory, offering visitors the opportunity to witness the packing process of blood orange cans. The on-site shop is charming, with various items available for purchase. The staff are friendly and courteous, providing generous sample sizes at the end of the tour. The tour guide is knowledgeable and engaging, making the experience enjoyable for all guests.

Although not all visitors dine at the pub, the menus and seating areas are inviting, and many guests report intending to return for a meal in the future. Overall, the experience at Thatchers Cider is highly recommended.

My partner and I completed the Thatchers tour and it was absolutely amazing!
The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable and genuine people that were easy to talk too.
The tour was very in depth and great value for money! (Cider tasting was included also)
The railway Inn pub had a great atmosphere and excellent food!
The shop was also very reasonable and had a great selection of ciders and memorabilia.

Cannot recommend enough will definitely be returning with friends in future!

The home of cider, we stopped by to stock up on cider for a friend to take back to Canada.

I too grabbed a fair few cans of the good stuff, from source.

The pub next door is fantastic too, so we had a quick juicy apple before heading back to Bristol.

I recently visited Thatchers Cider in Churchill, Somerset, where it's produced, and it was a fantastic experience. The cider is exceptional—refreshing and full of flavor. The nearby pub added to the charm, offering a cozy spot to enjoy a pint of this locally crafted cider. If you're in the area, visiting Thatchers and the local pub is a must for an authentic Somerset experience!

Had the factory tour with John. Very informative and fascinating to see the mixture of technology with heartfelt passion that goes into the cider they make. Just please, please make the spiced apple line available to buy!

I have been twice very impressed the first time on a Thursday and this time on a Tuesday totally different when the restaurant is Not open, lack Lustre service and only a snack menu on offer, it's such a shame as the first experience was perfect, this time not even an sun umbrella out and it was hot, so much so when we got home, it was we believe we had sun stroke, next time we will have to remember our hats, the Thatchers cider is second to none but the food not so much, check out the photos of the fish fingers, and we never stayed for a dessert

Fantastic tour and a great experience for anyone who enjoys cider, or anyone who doesn’t! Really interesting and you are taken round all the different parts of the operation behind Thatchers.

You start off in the Thatchers owned pub, the Railway which has a fantastic selection of ciders of draught (as expected). You are then picked up by the tour guides. We had one of the Johns, who was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. They also interacted a lot with the group and took the time to chat to people individually as they were walking from place to place.

Only improvement for suggestion would be it would be nice to try a few more of the ciders, we did get to try 4 of them but it was only a very small amount and there was a few more which would have been good to get a sample of. It was good to try some I haven’t tried before, including blood Orange and Katy, and Katy is now my new go to drink!

The shop is a must visit! Loads of ciders at decent prices to take home and also good to get other bits and bibs such as lanyards, glasses, beer mats and everything else you can think of Thatchers related. FYI you get a free hat from the tour!

Highly recommended!

Went on the tour as a family where we were split into two groups of 12. Our tour guide Sally was extremely knowledgable, passionate, informative and happy to answer any questions the group had. It was great to see the production of cider from apples to cans and we especially loved seeing the production line seeing the empty to filled cans. The whole site was extremely clean and tidy both inside and out. There were good tasters at the end and it was excellent value for just £15 each. Throughly enjoyed the tour and nice to visit the Railway Inn afterwards.
