Stopped in on a whim to take look around. Bob was very kind and greeted us. Whilst we were 'just taking a look', he saw that I was curious about record players. Bob took the time to show me how it works and gave me a quick understanding of what one needs to get one going in the home. He was very kind and attentive without putting any pressure on us. I really appreciated his time and his passions. One day, I would love to have a record player set up in my home, and I wouldn't hesitate to come to Sound Organisation to see Bob make this dream of mine come true. Great shop with lovely people. Would recommend.

What an experience! Friendly service, great advice. Cannot praise them highly enough. From the moment we walked into the shop, to the moment the needle came down on our first vinyl at home, the whole process was an absolute pleasure. David thoroughly explained all our options and the pros and cons of each. When we collected our system (Rega turntable and amp, Fyne Audio speakers) a month or so later, David spent time explaining how to set up the system. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly, this sort of service and product knowledge has all but disappeared from the UK High Street, but The Sound Organisation really know their stuff and how to treat their customers. When we are ready to add to our system, we'll be straight back!

I had the best experience shopping in The Sound Organisation! Bob in particular was really helpful and very kind. They answered all of my questions and never made me feel stupid for asking anything. Came away with some incredible speakers, after testing them in their listening room. If anyone is considering investing in their Hi-Fi set-up, I couldn't recommend The Sound Organisation enough!

I recently updated my HiFi system with Sound Organisation and had the best customer experience. David installed my new system with expertise and care ensuring best possible outcome. In addition to this, he resolved an issue with my streamer and organised a fix back in the store and returned it to me the next day perfectly restored. Many thanks to John too for his contribution in this matter. These guys really do go above and beyond the call of duty and genuinely care with a passion about their work. Great job and highly recommended!

A lifelong dream was realised yesterday with the delivery of my Linn Sondek.
David at The Sound Organisation, York has for many years looked after my system upgrades, more especially the last couple of years overseeing a couple of very tasty Naim component upgrades.
Owning and extending a substantial vinyl collection I eventually reached a stage in life when I could treat myself and realise the dream of a teenager (who drooled over such “What Hi-Fi” articles in the 1970’s perhaps ‘80’s and the editors suggested entry performance system pairing a Sondek with NAD 3020 amp and Videoton Minimax speakers!)
So yesterday David from SO, arrived at my home and completed the final pieces of my system upgrade and with total care and engineering precision installed my Sondek accompanied by a ARCAM CD 5.
The total buying experience dealing with “SO” has been now been matched with exceptional Tonal results.
David’s manner, knowledge, skill and professionalism are a credit to his store and his efforts have ensured I will return to this store many times in the future years as I now enrol on the upgrade trail!

The VERY BEST place to source your hi-fi.
Big thank you to Matt & the team.
After several, friendly, no-pressure demos of amps & speakers I was able to pinpoint the Naim Supernait 3 as my next amp!
Went in looking at the Rega Aethos, but without the benefit of the demos I would not have heard the difference between the two amps.
Simply the best service, friendly, efficient, great advice, don’t go anywhere else.

30 years of service from sound org, never had an issue, that says it all. Staff are all super good at what they do, nothing is a problem, looking forward to another purchase soon.
