Ab fab gorgeous. Beautiful blue skies and sea. Well stocked post office. Lovely ruin beach cafe with friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the visit overlooking a gorgeous beach with stunning views.

Our daughters, age 10 and 4, love going to 'the jungle' aka Tresco Abbey Gardens, so we spent the whole day there. A great place for all ages. The gardens are amazing - so much to see throughout the year. All sorts of beautiful and unusual plants and trees, and the figureheads in Valhalla are a must-see as well. The red squirrels are a wonderful addition, and it's brilliant they are doing so well and so easy to see. The golden pheasants are beautiful too and so tame, as are all the wild birds - robins, blackbirds and song thrushes. The cafe has a variety of tasty treats and the cream tea is delicious!

TRESCO IMPRESSES!!
Just spent three nights on Tresco including Mothering Sunday and every aspect of the stay exceeded my expectations.
From the initial booking (although some confusion as to whether Hedge Rock had been moved during the winter to the other end of the island..) to the spotless apartment with views over Old Grimsby and the Eastern Islands and the welcome visit each morning of a golden pheasant, the accommodation was very comfortable.
The food and service offerings at the Ruin were excellent - thanks to Eliza(?) Marshall (Happy Birthday) and Head Chef Serge.
The New Inn was also excellent and and is a credit to all concerned.
I am not known for waxing lyrically about hospitality but on this occasion I am happy to do so.

Quiet beautiful place. No cars just walking, bikes and the occasional golf cart. Food pricey but so tasty. Walking across to the other islands at low tide is an adventure in itself. Definitely worth a look.
