We recently had a new roof supplied by true roof direct. We found them great in every way. First their price was really good. They stuck to their agreement and included everything from the start- skip hire , tiles scaffolding etc. they promised to do the job as quickly as possible and also kept that promise. Their system seems to be based on a very efficient team who all understand their roles. Despite the size of our roof it was stripped and rebuilt in a long morning session. The few minor problems were dealt with very quickly indeed. I would, and have, recommended them to local people here who have asked about our experience with them.

Great company,everything went smoothly from the scaffolding and skip arriving on the days arranged to the workmen actually coming a day earlier than originally planned and working solidly from 7.30 till 3pm.
Whole roof stripped and replaced in two days,which after seeing other roofing companies take more than that we were very pleased with.
Workmen also tidied up after themselves and kept disruption to a minimum.

From first contact with company we found it easy to communicate and arrange the replacement of our roof. We had the complication of having our roof sprayed with foam insulation inside the loft. This was not a problem as their team had performed the work on other contracts so we're not phased by the issue. The scaffold firm came on the day expected and we're very respectful of our property and set every thing up in one day. Then the skip arrived as planned All good. The next day the materials were delivered. The roofing team commenced work on Thursday morning and by the end of the day and 3skops later the old roof was gone and the roof had its water proof membrane fitted with new lathes, and all tiles up on the roof ready to fit. Friday the team started at 08:00 and had the roof completed by 12:00. The lads worked none stop throughout a great job thanks to the whole team at True Roof.

This company's representative keeps on knocking on our door trying to get people signed up for new roof at least once every two months. Every time they are told the same thing: "We are not interested, please don't come back". And every time they appear in few weeks again. Please take no for an answer.
Would not go with this pushy company even if I was looking to get new roof done.

From start to finish, a thoroughly professional job at a fair price!
No high pressure selling and great communication from (I Hope I have the names right) Lynne (Director) and Helen (Admin).
The scaffolding and roofing guys worked really well throughout.
Special shout out to Steven (Installation Manager but still works on the tools, with skill) for overall project management and getting things done right. He removed and refitted our solar panels which would otherwise have needed another firm at extra cost and worked with me to get the chimney stack sorted the way I wanted it. He starts really early!
We are now much more confident in the entire roof structure with all faults of previous, annoyingly, rather dodgy work replaced and fitting of mechanically fixed ridge tiles to avoid any future problems.
We highly recommend this company!

Been holding back this review, as I wanted to give the company a chance to resolve our issues which appeared after having a new roof put on, also our experience with True Roof was very poor start to finish. As others have mentioned, raised issues over and over without response to the point where we thought they were actually ignoring us. Theres no customer case management system in play I'll tell you that much.

The first problem was we werent actually told to empty our loft prior to the job starting, some might think this is common sense maybe it is but they didnt even say to us btw, you havent emptied your loft we cant start until you empty your loft and so everything in the loft got ruined, with black dust and of course when we asked them to sort this out the answer was of course no we cant do that, you should have been told to empty it first. The clean up job I had to complete myself was significant.

So we noticed water coming into the bed room eventually after some heavy rain and worked out there was an issue, eventually after months of trying to contact them Ashley came out, and agreed its just the heavy rain and probably the chimney needs repointed but he never once offered to help sort the issue or even price us up a job, he literally ran out of our house, could not leave quick enough, and never heard from them again, eventually we got another company to repoint the chimney and replace the seal round the chimney which was not done well by true roof. This was an additional 2K expense which we forked out ourselves. Was tempted to get in touch to see if they would help with it but tbh I dont think the 10 year guarantee is worth the paper its written on, guess we will find out if we ever have any major issues with the roof. Also one minor thing was they forgot to put on the side panels on our extension.

I was just so upset about the whole experience I want to leave this review and forget about it. But i do feel its important that others know about what to expect here, most likely your job will go fine and there wont be any issues but if there is, dont expect them to be sorted quickly or for the customer service to be the best.

I will end by saying new roof looks decent enough, the one good thing was they remove and replace the solar panels afterwards, however the price was a fair bit, and definitely expected more from this "family run business". - Empty your loft before you get your new roof..

Very happy with my replacement roof. Good quality materials and workmanship at a price I thought was reasonable. Work completed as quickly as weather conditions allowed. Skip and pallets removed day 1 after completion, scaffolding within 5 days of completion. However the Company let themselves down by not spending bit more time to make a better job of clearing the rubbish on completion.

Very satisfied with our new roof. Scaffolding put up Fri/ Mon. Then skip came early Thurs, roofers came & old tiles removed. 2nd skip came pm & replaced full skip. Tiles delivered & Fri new Tiles put on & completed. Skip removed Sat morning. All people involved were very helpful & friendly.
