I have just had the worst experience ever with an Internet provider.
One star is too good for them.
I signed up via a third-party website (money saving expert). However, I later found that Virgin was offering a better deal after reading all the small print.
My contract with Virgin was less than 24 hours old, so I thought it would be easy for Virgin to just change the contract and give me the better price.
One quick phone call, or so I thought. After being transferred sometimes, and other times, being told I couldn't be transferred, and I had to phone a different phone number. After eight calls, I got cut off and decided to give up.
The next morning, I tried the web chat.
It was just as bad as the phone calls. I was passed from one department to another for just over 1 hour.
I finally managed to get my contract cancelled. Never again will I go anywhere near Virgin Media.

I was with virgin media for 6 years, until we moved this year , we informed virgin media that we were moving and used the house move within virgin. We gave the new address and they needed permission from the landlord, I sent a email to the landlord and asked for permission and I got the permission.
I informed virgin media they were not Interested, they did it there way, for 1 they did not know where the request was going, thus carried on for 3 weeks until with frustration and regret I went to a 3rd party BRSK, who was informed as the above they booked the engineer for the next day and I was active on the Internet the same day with 100mbps download and upload .
VIRGIN made a real fool of themselves and lost a loyal customer. VIRGIN came across as they did not what they were doing, how can I chase up something that they can not tell where they sending the request, very very very poor sorry to say bring the call center back to UK and virgin may get some were.
Worst of all I got a call today as I told them to forget it yesterday, to tell me they were ready for the install useless.

Never ever goback now and I DO NOT RECOMMEND VIRGIN TO ANYONE GO WIRH BRSK totally pros, polite and know what there doing.

I've been overcharged now on my virgin bill since December 2022. With numerous telephone calls and emails it's still not been sorted.
This morning was the last straw I'm currently on hold yet again for 45minutes while waiting to be put through to a manager, repeatedly being told netflix isn't on the package when I have it in black and white infront of me and I can't even access it because virgin have switched it off. Well the phone has just dropped. VIRGIN MEDIA IS A JOKE. MR BRANSON YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED

I was lured in and now can`t escape the trap!
I have had fibro-optic broadband and tv package. The internet was acceptable most of the time, however it gets slower in rush hours.
I have been trying to cancel the contract for last week spending more than £50 calling premium phone numbers suggested for customer service. No response so far. I find it incredibly frustrating. There is no e-mail to write to.
Since it started searching the internet it appeared that a lot of people have the same problem.
It feels that I was lured in a trap and now i can`t get out. I will never consider Virgin media again

Virgin media terrible experience. Not recomended at all.

Its a sweet trap of initial contract of 12 month for £26.99 and then will raise up to £50. And when you call them you have to wait for half an hour. After that when they heard you that you are leaving and not happy to pay £50 or more, they just hang up the call and you have to call them again and again and each time to have wait for more then 40 mints.

I've forgotten my password so have been trying to sort it out on the website, (need to sort new direct debit), however for 2 days all I'm getting is "Oops, Site broken". Have been with them since 1996 when they were "Cable Northwest" and have had probs before but now think it's time to disconnect. I'm fed up with internet probs, more off than on and soooooo slow. Either 32mpbs or 72mpbs, which it is now, yet I'm supposed to be on higher package.

The internet connection is amazing, but if you need to contact the customer service either by phone call or on the chat box , good luck to you. They make it almost impossible.

I am supporting a customer to do a trivial change on her account. Just want to change the email address associated with account. 10 phone calls from myself and her friend lasting at least 30 minutes each, we are still no further forward from 1st call. Their customer services are a 3rd party who have no power to do any changes and apparently do no work other than answer the phone and chat. 8 weeks of no email or account access.

I’ve had poor service for ages with this Company. Strongly do not recommend using Virgin Media. After a call where they admitted there was poor connection frequently they advised that I may incur a £25 fee for an engineer. How can a Company providing a poor/faulty service charge their customers for fixing the same?
